Biography of Pastors April and Kaashif Ameer
Pastor April Ameer, a Navy veteran who served in Norfolk, Virginia, experienced a profound transformation on November 9th, 1992, when she embraced her faith and dedicated her life to Jesus Christ. Following a similar path, Kaashif Ameer found his salvation on December 31st, 1995. Their shared commitment to Christ, faith, and spiritual journey brought them together, culminating in their marriage on September 15th, 1996.
April became a dynamic and dedicated member of the United Full Gospel choir, serving as a Pastoral Aide and Armor Bearer to Senior Pastor Janet Ellis from 1996 through 2007. Her ministry extended beyond the church, working at a pregnancy crisis center advocating for unborn children in Norfolk, engaging in outreach ministry in the projects of Norfolk, and evangelizing aboard her Navy ship. In 2004 received a license in Ministries of Help. She also found joy in teaching Sunday school classes and sharing her faith with the younger generation.
Kaashif’s ministry began in earnest when he was ordained as an Evangelist in 2004. His passion for serving those in need led him to become a Prison Chaplain at Virginia Beach Correction Facility from 1999 to 2007 and at Sussex Correctional Facility in 2005. His outreach work included serving the Jefferey Wilson Projects and the Van Ministry from 1997 through 2007. From 1998 to 2007, Kaashif faithfully served as an Armor Bearer for Pastor Janet Ellis. He also provided Chaplain and Fitness training for professional football players from 1997 through 2010, uniquely blending physical fitness with spiritual well-being. In 2017, Kaashif received his Bachelor's in Theology to complement his A.A.S. in Psychology.
In 2007, both April and Kaashif relocated to Atlanta to help lay the foundation of the United Full Gospel Revival Center. Since then, they have been instrumental in the growth and development of the center, with Kaashif serving as the Male Covering for the United Full Gospel Revival Center Atlanta (UFGRC Atl).
In recognition of their dedication and service, Kaashif Ameer was licensed as a Pastor on July 15th, 2020. Following in his footsteps, April Ameer was installed as a Pastor on July 29th, 2022. Their journey reflects their deep commitment to their faith, their community, and each other.
